What is your educational background? I received a bachelor’s degree in finance from Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, School of Finance in 2020.
Why did you choose the MSFE program? I chose this program to receive rigorous and applicable quantitative training and to study finance in depth.
What is your favorite part of living in Madison? I enjoy taking a walk by Lake Mendota and watching the sun set while enjoying a big bowl of delicious ice cream.
What is your favorite class? I enjoy Fin720 Investment Theory and Practice, for the professor not only taught optimal portfolio choices and asset pricing models, but also the application of Python during classes. Fin720 bridges theory and practice by applying the theory presented in class to solve practical problems, and improves programming skills through weekly exercises and Python workbooks.
What are your career aspirations? My short-term career goal is to become a financial analyst in the investment banking department of one of the top securities firms in China. Successively, I plan to pursue an MBA degree to prepare for my long-term goal – to become a chief financial officer at a financial institution.
