What is your educational background? I spent four years in the School of Economics at Nankai University, learning economic theory and empirical methods, and appreciating the history of economic thought.
Why did you choose this program? This program is perfect for me as I can study finance issues based on the theoretical approach and history of economics I have studied. The curriculum is exciting, and I can learn practical skills for my future career while gaining a broad perspective.
What has been your favorite thing to do in Madison or what is your favorite part about living in Madison? My favorite thing about Madison is the lake; it takes all the worries away. I also like to stand under the trees and watch the squirrels collect acorns. Sometimes the acorns fall on my head.
What has been your favorite class or what are you most looking forward to taking? My favorite thing about Investment Theory and Practice is that Proffesor Sebastien has a well-organized course plan that breaks down the vast amount of investment knowledge into small, simple modules. This gave me a strong sense of access while learning.
What are your career aspirations? I hope to become an excellent analyst after mastering the analytical methods of financial economics. Finance should serve the real economy, and I hope to work in the field of finance to support economic development.
