What is your educational background? I graduated from Liaoning University in China and majored in international economy and trade. I did some internship jobs in China in person and remotely.
Why did you choose this program? The university boasts a renowned faculty in economics and finance, and their expertise aligns perfectly with my academic and career interests. Madison’s vibrant and diverse community also played a significant role in my choice. The campus offers a stimulating academic and personal growth environment, and I am excited to engage with fellow students from various backgrounds and cultures.
What is your favorite thing to do in Madison or what is your favorite part about living in Madison? My favorite things about Madison are walking by the lake with my friends, talking about interesting things in school and life, or cooking at home by myself while listening to upbeat music.
What has been your favorite class or what are you most looking forward to taking? FIN 720 (Investment Theory and Practice) is my favorite course in the first semester. Prof. Sebastian is kind and patient. He helps us sort out the basic knowledge of finance very thoroughly, helping me to have a more comprehensive understanding of financial economics in the future.
What are your career aspirations? I want to enter a securities institution after graduation.
