What is your educational background? Kansas State University, Manhattan, KS Bachelor of Art in Economics, Minor in Statistics. I have worked at the Department of Entomology as an Undergraduate Research Assistant.
Why did you choose this program? First, the program offered specific courses that aligned with my personal career goals and interests. This program will provide better resources, communication and job opportunities. Of course the reputation of the program and the university was also a factor I considered.
What is your favorite thing to do in Madison or what is your favorite part about living in Madison?Madison is located between two scenic lakes, Lake Mendota and Lake Monona. Boating, kayaking, fishing and lakeside picnics are popular. Madison also has many parks and trails for hiking and biking, and in the winter, it’s a great place for cross-country skiing and skating.
What has been your favorite class or what are you most looking forward to taking? I am very interested in Finance 720: Investment Theory and Practice, and Finance 730: Derivative Security Analysis, which are currently in progress, but the pace is a little fast.
What are your career aspirations? I hope to find a finance-related job in the United States.
