What is your educational background? I have a Bachelor of Economics with Honors from Carleton University, which is a capital university in Canada.
Why did you choose this program? I have a great interest in economic theory and financial analysis. In this field, the MSFE program at UW-Madison is quite strong with its curriculum, projects, and career services. The well-designed curriculum equips me with finance knowledge, and also provides me with the confidence to go further in my career path whether as a company management or a financial professional.
What is your favorite thing to do in Madison or what is your favorite part about living in Madison? My favorite thing to do in Madison is lie on the lawn in front of Bascom Hall and bask in the sun. Lying on the lawn and looking at the sky makes all my worries disappear. The attraction of Madison is that it appears to be a slower-paced city but at the same time it combines relaxing with ice cream at the lake with the bustle and excitement of rugby in summer.
What has been your favorite class or what are you most looking forward to taking? I’m most looking forward course to taking finance courses. I have only been exposed to finance through elective courses and internships. At present, I can learn it from theoretical courses as a business student, which is very exciting tome.
What are your career aspirations? There is turmoil and unrest in the world today. From a macro perspective, I hope to contribute to world infrastructure or maintain economic stability through the financial economy.
