What is your educational background? I am a Chartered Accountant with dual master’s degrees in Economics and Finance, based in New Delhi-India, prior to coming to UW-Madison.

Why did you choose the MSFE program at UW-Madison? The MSFE program’s advanced curriculum in both economics and finance, with its practical approach to data analysis using various programming languages like Python, R, and Stata, strongly appealed to me.

What is your favorite thing to do in Madison or what is your favorite part about living in Madison? I love playing basketball at the local courts, especially with the beautiful lakeside views nearby. Roaming around the city is another highlight exploring neighborhoods, checking out local cafes, and soaking in the culture and history makes Madison an exciting place to live.

What has been your favorite class or what are you most looking forward to taking? My favorite class is Investment Theory and Practice (FIN 720) with Professor Sébastien Plante. I am excited to continue learning about investment strategies and portfolio management in the future.

What are your career aspirations? After completing my graduation, I am interested in working in the finance industry in the near future. In the long term, I aim to focus on economic and financial policy interventions in the Global South.
