What is your educational background? I graduated from Simon Fraser University in Canada with a degree in Business Administration and concentrating in Finance.

Why did you choose this program? I want to work in the financial industry in the future, and the MSFE program provides advanced training in economics and finance to students interested in careers and further graduate study involving quantitative analysis in various areas of financial economics. Also, I really like Madison, it is a very livable and safe city.

What is your favorite thing to do in Madison or what is your favorite part about living in Madison? I like to walk around Lake Mendota by the campus. It has a beautiful view on a sunny day!

What has been your favorite class or what are you most looking forward to taking? My favorite class is “Derivative Securities – Theory and Practice.” Professor Bjørn Eraker introduces us to derivatives and teaches us how to use Trade Workstation, which I think is a very practical course.

What are your career aspirations? I want to work in an investment bank as a financial analyst, and my long-term goal is going to be an expert and leader in a financial field.
