What is your educational background? I graduated with a major in economics and minors in actuarial science and mathematics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Why did you choose the MSFE program at UW-Madison? Madison has a good economics tradition. I also want real-life examples and case studies from the financial world. Financial economics is a natural choice for me.

What is your favorite part about living in Madison? I am a long-distance runner and Madison has great running trails along the lakeshore. After a busy, yet fulfilling, long week, there is nothing I enjoy more than a Saturday afternoon 10k run.

What classes are you most looking forward to taking? Macroeconomics with professor Dean Corbae, and his PhD macro sequence course for next semester, are the classes that I will enjoy and look forward to the most.

Where are you hired after your graduation? I applied for PhD programs upon graduation, and I am currently a PhD student in Economics at the University of Alberta in Canada.
