What is your educational background? I did my undergraduate studies in Financial Management at Renmin University in China.

Why did you choose the MSFE program at UW-Madison? Because unlike other traditional programs, the MSFE program offers more academic training and lets you tap into both the finance and economics departments. This gives us a lot more resources and options to shape our own paths.

What is your favorite thing to do in Madison or what is your favorite part about living in Madison? Madison has such a laid-back vibe! I really enjoy how peaceful and relaxed the city is. Also, as a bodybuilding fan, I love going to Bakke — the gym where you can appreciate the lake view while training.

What has been your favorite class or what are you most looking forward to taking? I’ve enjoyed all my courses, and the professors are super supportive—Professor Marek, for example, is so kind and energetic in teaching and guiding us.

What are your career aspirations? My aspiration is to become a finance researcher. I want to use my knowledge to produce impactful research and help develop financial markets in underdeveloped regions.
