What is your educational background? I graduated from the University of Liverpool with a degree in Applied Mathematics.
Why did you choose this program? I choose MSFE to learn modern quantitative methods in financial economics and econometrics through tailored data-driven curriculum. For example, courses like Investment Theory and Practice, Machine Learning for Economists, Data Analytics for Economists, and Financial Econometrics align with my particular interests. In addition, the career resources, including workshops, STEM, and the large alumni base provided by the MSFE degree program will provide tremendous benefits to launching and advancing my career.
What are your career aspirations? My career goals include becoming a Quantitative Analyst in a securities company where I can analyze financial markets and help build a quantitative framework for a diversified investment portfolio. In the long run, I envision becoming the Director of the department, where I can develop complex financial derivatives and perfect quantitative investment frameworks using my expertise.
